Governance

IPAA Tasmania operations are governed by a Council of management which controls and manages the business and affairs of the Institute. Council meets at least six times a year to discuss the issues that are significant in the operation of the Institute. Council currently engages the Tasmanian Training Consortium to provide secretariat and event management services to support IPAA Tasmania activities.

The Council comprises:

  • five elected office bearers – President, two Vice-Presidents, Treasurer and Secretary.
  • five elected ordinary members.
  • up to two co-opted members.

As a member of IPAA Tasmania, you can nominate to join our Council. It’s a great way to get involved, expand your networks and give back to the sector. Elections are held at the AGM in September of each year.

Our Rules

As a non-profit, member-based organisation we are bound by the IPAA Tasmania Rules of Association  under the Associations Incorporation Act 1964. The rules outline our aims and objectives as an organisation and set out a series of guidelines on matters of business, membership and finances.

Annual Report

IPAA Tasmania produces an Annual Report providing an overview of the activities, operations and financial performance of the Institute for that year.
