Australian Journal of Public Administration (AJPA)Logo for Australian Journal of Public Administration

The AJPA is available free of charge to all IPAA members. This journal is published quarterly and is committed to the study and practice of public administration, public management and policy making. Aimed at a diverse readership, the journal encourages research, reflection and commentary amongst those interested in a range of public sector settings – federal, state, local and inter-governmental. The journal focuses on Australian concerns, but welcomes manuscripts relating to international developments of relevance to the Australian experience. Online access to the Australian Journal of Public Administration is available free of charge to IPAA members via the IPAA National website.

Australia & New Zealand School of Government logo

The Australia and New Zealand School of Government conducts a range of research to address key contemporary issues in public administration, policy development and management. It seeks to:

  • Inform debate and promote understanding on key issues in government
  • Support the development of best practice throughout the public sector
  • Enhance the knowledge and capability of public managers and leaders

ANZSOG has recently launched a new research translation series, The Bridge, designed to facilitate collaboration between academics and public managers and access to quality research.  You can subscribe to The Bridge here.


The MandarinTheMandarin

The Mandarin is an online forum for public sector leaders. It provides a venue for engaging with and sharing the work of the people building a better Australia. A thoughtful and respectful space for the discussion of policy, programs and public projects. Membership is free so sign up and receive regular email updates that keep you informed on what’s happening and who’s who in the public sector.
